Overview

The conference provides a unique forum to learn how Abaqus users in industry and academia are applying the latest simulation technology and methods. Attendees will also discover new capabilities within Abaqus, future strategies of SIMULIA, provide input on future software enhancements, explore complimentary partner solutions, and network with other users to share experiences and new ideas.

This year’s advanced seminar is aimed to give you an insight of our ability to model Fluid-Structural Interactions, as part of Abaqus’ multi-physics capability.

• Introduction to the multiphysics concept in Abaqus
• Coupled Eularian-Lagrangian (CEL) method in Abaqus/Explicit
• CEL examples and demonstration
• Lunch
• Code coupled Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI)
• FSI Examples in Abaqus/CAE

Who should attend?

• Anyone who wants to discover how to model fluids and structures in Abaqus
• Anyone already using FSI who wants to discover CEL in Abaqus/Explicit

Keynote Speaker Announced – Luca Furbatto, McLaren Racing

Luca Furbatto of McLaren Racing, the F1 team, will be giving a keynote speech at this year’sevent. Luca is head of department , Material group and R&D design at McLaren Racing and is fully responsible for all Stress Analysis. Luca moved to McLaren in 2000 from British American Racing (now the Honda F1 team) with the task to restructure and integrate the stress analysis activity within the design of new cars.
