AUC 2008 Recap

Celebrating 30 Years of Innovation

Thank you to everyone who shared in the 21st Abaqus Users’ Conference. This AUC marked the 30th anniversary of the commercialization of Abaqus FEA software and drew record numbers in both customer and partner registrations. At this year’s conference we delivered information on the new release of SIMULIA SLM for Simulation Lifecycle Management, presented the major advancements available in Abaqus Version 6.8, and explored multiphysics simulation using Coupled-Eulerian Lagrangian approach with Abaqus/Explicit.

Special thanks to our Invited Lecturers, Hiroo Yamaoka of Toyota Motor Corporation and Kurt Kuhn of The Boeing Company, for taking the time to share their Abaqus-related experiences and achievements. Additional thanks to all who contributed papers and presented them, as well as to our Alliance Partners. The compilation of so many outstanding presentations helped make this event a complete success.
