New release available - Abaqus 6.8:

• Abaqus 6.8 is available

• Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian Capability (FSI)
  Abaqus Explicit now has the capability to do fluid structural interaction applications. This feature utilizes 10 analysis tokens and is included in the Abaqus 6.7EF release.

• SolidWorks associative import interface add-on
  Export assemblies and subsequent design modifications from SolidWorks into Abaqus /CAE:

Abaqus Parallel capabilities:

• Parallel Processing (SMP)
  With Abaqus Research Edition you already have the capability to do parallel processing (SMP) as long as you have licensed 6 or more analysis tokens. If you’re already running Abaqus on a machine with a duo core processor, Abaqus/Standard or Abaqus/Explicit can be run in parallel using 6 analysis tokens. If you currently license 5 tokens, the cost to add another token is $100 or less and your speed could increase up to 50%!
