The Abaqus Teaching Edition was developed to be an ideal, cost effective tool for introducing students to the benefits of robust FEA. Designed for classroom instruction, Abaqus Teaching Edition programs include 20 Abaqus/CAE tokens and 100 Abaqus analysis tokens, providing 20 users simultaneous access to the software.
- The Abaqus Basic Teaching Edition License has a 20,000 node limitation.
- The Abaqus Expanded Teaching Edition has a 100,000 node limitation and includes access to one CAD geometry translator of your choice.
Abaqus Teaching Edition Capabilities
The Abaqus Teaching Edition includes access to Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit, and Abaqus/CAE. Access to features requiring compilers, such as user subroutines, is not available.

Purchasing Requirements 
Academic licenses are available to accredited, degree granting institutions for use in teaching and basic research.
Institutions wishing to license Abaqus must provide the following:
- Abaqus Academic Software License Agreement
- Contact information for the Responsible Person (RP) for the new license
- Credit card information or a copy of your purchase order depending on intended payment method
- The host ID for your license server
